The RLTP 10-Minute Play Fest showcases area playwrights annually and world-premieres their ten-minute plays.

10-Minute Play Fest Event: Monday May 4, 2020 at 7:30pm

Road Less Traveled Productions is now accepting submissions to “May the Fourth Be with You”, their second 10 Minute Play Festival, an evening of staged readings to be presented on Monday, May 4, 2020.  In honor of the date, we encourage creative imaginings around the Star Wars Universe and accompanying themes, however short plays around any theme or topic are welcome to be submitted.  Plays must be an original work by a regional playwright (Western New York and the surrounding area) and no longer than 10 minutes in length. We are looking for premiere pieces that highlight the exciting and diverse voices of Western New York, as such plays should not have had previous readings or productions.

To submit a new work for consideration, please email completed script to Katie Mallinson, Literary Manager at, along with playwright biography or resume. Playwrights may submit up to three (3) plays for consideration. Submissions will be accepted until October 1, 2019. Playwrights will be notified of the final selections by November 1, 2019.

American Theatre Masters

Occasionally, Road Less Traveled Production selects an American drama of great merit – generally one previously unseen in WNY – and produces it as an American Theatre Master selection. A high-profile theatre artist closely associated with that play (usually the author) is then invited to visit the Road Less Traveled Theater during the run of the production. Our American Theatre Master presides over a lengthy afternoon Master Class session with RLTP’s New Play Workshop playwrights, Ensemble, and area students, enjoys an evening performance of their play.
